I agree. The promos made it look like this would be an episode about Howard and dealing with his mother but when I read that Sheldon and Leonard would be arguing I thought it would only be a secondary plotline. This could've been a great episode to have some real closure on Howard's mom dying but they messed it up.

I think Claire and Mitchell are around the same age so if they were growing up together, Jay would've been able to ignore both of them at the same time and miss his "first" chance.

Yes on the realism of Mike's yelling. My heart started beating a lot faster when watching that scene because it reminded me so much of the time my dad caught me sneaking out and that. Was. Not. Pretty.

True. I thought it was a funny episode and I'm not one to diss on the Middle, but it was more like a B episode. I liked MIke's expression though. He looked like he felt violated and then the way he quickly gained his composure and left so Frankie to deal with it was one of my favorite parts of the episode.

Hulk wouldn't win against Superman. Ever. Superman's base strength is in a completely different league than Hulk. I know Hulk's power is theoretical limitless, he's never going to get strong enough. Superman would rip him apart long before he got close to that strong. Not to mention the fact that Hulk would be too

That's really the biggest thing I took away from this episode. Not even more popular shows like Community or That 70s Show had done that.

Like these other people, I assume it has something to do with Gotham but it isn't impossible for him to be unexposed to that. Batman the Animated Series no doubt ran in syndication when he was growing up. There was also Batman Beyond and the more recent The Batman so it's not impossible.

My favorite running gag was the blue bag and it was funny seeing it setup in a slightly different format. I hope that isn't the end of it though because it's always hilarious seeing where it ends up.

I only got that it was a Legion of Superheroes reference but I don't know much beyond who appeared regularly in the cartoon.

Ohhhhhhhhh. I just thought that it was a joke about Cam's cousin being some ugly girl with a beard and was wondering why people thought it was so funny.

I really enjoyed this episode of the Middle. It managed to be serious without being serious serious. Maybe because the thing about Brick hit a little bit close to home. It was also a lot funnier than the previous episode. The talk show segment was my favorite part.

Alex mentioned that she did like Cal Tech but the only reason she didn't want to go was because it was too close too home.
