The Dead Authors podcast is one of my favorite things. There are a few episOdes I could go back and listen to constantly.
I'm curious did you read the book first? I like the book better, but like you said, they are both so different that I'm sure I would have liked the movie better if those were the themes and tones I was introduced to first.
If you go into it looking for a heady sci fi epic that captures the fear of isolation, then you will be disappointed. If you go into it expecting a beach read with lots of science words, then it's really fun.
Ooh, I really like Stars. I think the first I heard of them was a remix of Sleep Tonight.
I love the fact that she's in the Marvel Encyclopedia, and that her powers are listed as "none, except for the average speed and strength of a woman of her size"
That honor belongs to Jynx.
I interpreted that comment as self deprecating in nature.
Similar topic, so may not be what you want, but the Forever War is a pretty good antidote for Starship Trooper's morality.
Bill is way closer to Bella, but I suppose that name was too normal for her special snowflake of a character.
That sounds more like a boner pill than a name.
As long as they keep the Harry Potter marathons I'm good.
Here we go again. Eeeeeevery single time there's news that someone was murdered, your very first question is "Was he garrotted?"
Drop Interdimensional Cable to the bottom, and we've got the same order for the other nine.
Man, Get Schwifty wasn't one of the best, but I just don't understand the dislike some people have for it. If I had to pick one episode to put below the others, it'd be Interdimensional Cable.
It's just a crummy commercial?
Well in that case, I guess I don't need a spoiler alert to tell you that AGM-3006 kills Zebulon Krooyfjig at the end of Crab Nebulon.
Wow, way to go and spoil The Martian for me.
21st Century Breakdown alternates between good and really cheesy. 21 Guns is probably my favorite "ballad" type song of theirs.
I think Insomniac feels a bit more like an actual punk album, but I still think Dookie is better put together.
