I don’t think it’s very realistic if every character in a game is bisexual. And it would make the form purely cosmetic, which isn’t the point. If you have a masculine form in real life, straight males just aren’t gonna be into you.

No, that means the game is realistic about relationships. If Ferdinand isn’t into male-form Byleth because he’s straight, that’s just life.

I mean.... unless I’m remembering incorrectly, don’t you literally make a binary choice about your gender representation, and doesn’t that choice limit your options for relationships and marriage with different characters.....? That feels about as far away from non-binary as you can get.

As someone who in the past has had to cast VO talent for “fluent English-speaking Japanese actor with some of their native Japanese accent left”... there are not a whole lot of actors out there to work with. I’m sure Sucker Punch would have cast Japanese people if they could have.
