She was taking a dig at the HFPA and its hypocrisy. I mean that was very obvious. Pretty sure none of the directors saw it as a hit on them.

Where? Which words, specifically, expressed such a sentient towards the nominees? She just pointed out that they were men.

Did she say that the nominees were wrong?

She wasn’t dropping shade on them, she was shading the HFPA for their ignorance. And if they got offended, well that’s their problem. Their numerous trophies will comfort them. I’m not saying that they aren’t talented but let’s face it, Lady Bird and Get Out were infinitely better movies.

He gets a bad rap in the commercials, but the man is a wizard with a no. 45 poly-flex double-aught dough cutter, that much I can tell you.

Pfft... looks like someone didn’t take their Advanced Grease Handling courses yet....[snicker]

Pfft. That’s a party fry school.

Well, I didn’t have enough money to go to one of your big, coastal-elite Ivy League fast food chain schools, Mr. I-Could-Afford-To-Go-To-McDonalds-University-With-Their-World-Class-Fry-Lab, but I still got a darn good education.

He was given credit, he just wasn’t paid for it.

I’m assuming you’re talking about a specific credit up front along with the writing credits - because to my knowledge, all the Marvel movies have credited both the original creators of given characters and writers such as Millar and Bendis for their Ultimates-influenced characterisations.

Starlin spoke openly about not being approached or paid by Marvel for Thanos’ inclusion in the original Avengers movie

Rob - I’m largely on the same page as you. Born in 1976, and Luke Skywalker is my hero.

But we were meant to dislike her, and much like with Poe, she didn’t give a shit if we disliked her. She had a plan, she stuck to it, and then she went down with her ship like a fucking boss.

The milking thing was primal Star Wars. It’s indie filmmaker George Lucas making a weird 1970s space movie weirdness. RJ tapped right into that shit.
