While self-checkout machines could certainly be improved upon, I love them and the idea of getting rid of them seems ludicrous. What is that anyway, some sort of job-stimulus plan?

Google+ and Facebook are both vying to become the online bridge to your *real* identity. If you are not comfortable even sharing your actual gender on the internet, I'd argue that these services were not intended for you.
Really? It can't even drive stereo for headphones?
Criminals paid to try and keep other criminals off airplanes?
I'm certainly no proponent of anything 'military industrial complex', but please tell me you aren't implying that soldiers don't deserve a handful creature comforts given the fact they're being sent to risk their lives for the sake of... well. err. Why are we throwing away such a huge amount of money and risking so…
Am I the only one who keeps reading 'Fitbit' as 'Fibit'?
LightPeak will be fiber optic, but initially it's going to be copper. I don't think there is anything proprietary here, but copper might be the price Apple paid for arriving to the party so early, though I think Sony has laptops lined up that also offer this early copper version of LightPeak.
Way to hate on an operating system and phone you've never even tried.
It's name repetition and positive brand association. Considering that the truck is only for use by existing Vodafone customers, this particular marketing ploy probably isn't aimed at generating buckets of net new customers. It's there to make people feel more warm and fuzzy about their current choice of carrier. The…
It's funny how the internet has jaded us to the point that we are so desensitized to novelty we have knee-jerk dismissive reactions to things like this. This weird thing on the internet is *so* not worthy of my attention, give me more 'funny' cat pictures and cut this nonsense out! It was totally not even worth…
American MTV doesn't produce anything anymore. They hire contractors for everything from producing entire shows to the first-party advertisements they run. Some of the contractors are actually pretty dope. Sadly, most are just in it for the cash money like the rest of us sellouts.
Ah, how quick we are to laugh at and dismiss a stylus, after all, Steve Jobs, the god of modern electronics said that if you use a stylus, you're already doing it wrong! Hah! Clearly charging $80 for a stylus is laughable and ludicrous!
Doesn't bug me *that* much, but since you pointed it out, yes the image is being up-scaled and stretched by the browser, and yes it does look a little worse for the wear. I noticed but I'd say it is still acceptable, if not exactly great.
I've definitely seen traffic cops in NYC with digital printout systems giving out parking violations. I'm kinda bewildered as to where these paper ones fit into that system. Maybe the digital systems only exist in Manhattan (only place I've ever seen them myself) and these updated paper tickets are for the rest of the…
No, but something that takes the shape of the user's hand into consideration would be nice. Hands aren't symmetrical, you know?
I would imagine there is at least a division in model number that could tip you off. (Apple didn't minimalize the chassis to the point it lacks a model number, did they?)
The 'real' food photography that graces the face of the fanciest and glossiest of cookbooks and cooking blogs is usually just as, if not more, fake than that image. They hardly ever use real food in the shoots, its a plethora of materials and substitution foods, and that's *before* they take it into photoshop.
First internet memory was logging into Dark Reign (ye olde scifi rts) multiplayer for the first time, on a 28.8, also happened to be when I chose this nickname for the first time, though back then it was Firebird52, because the non-numbered variant was already taken.
I'd almost be willing to bet money that the undeveloped eye color wasn't a factor in selecting the image, but now that you point it out? Totally agree.
Since when was the point of gaming mice supposed to be click speed? Last time I checked it was supposed to be primarily sensor resolution and latency, with specialized goodies such as customizable weight, on-the-fly DPI switching, and extra buttons rounding out the deal.
