Meanwhile, the two Ike games are nearly impossible to play legally, and have been for the past ten years. Nintendo could literally make a straight port rather than a remaster and charge full price and make bank, but they’re Nintendo, so for inscrutable reasons they will instead...just not do that.

I like running a gimmicky Shuckle in singles. Contrary ability paired with Shell Smash, Encore, Toxic and Rest will make anyone quit in rage if they don’t have an answer for it. This being a gimmick you have to make sure you get rid of Shuckle’s answers in order for you to secure the win which in itself is a dice roll.

If I remember correctly, he will let you keep the Shuckle if it becomes friendly enough, but Shuckle mostly reminds me of this:

It seems like there is a sort of creative dissonance where an artist makes the character and by virtue the theme of it’s moves/type since they are pretty on the nose and you can tell by looking at them, but then they go to the basement guy for the Pokedex entries.

Fun fact: with Power Trick and Rollout and a bunch of circumstantial stat changes, Shuckle can do the most damage of any Pokemon in a single turn.
