Sign of the Post-Leitch Era. This far into comments and no mention of Deion Thomas.
Went by a dealer at lunch looking at the 2008s. They were asking $2500 over MSRP for the 3 remainders they had sitting on the lot. That broke down to $500 in dealer added crap and $2000 in "Market Price Adjustment." When the salescritter told me that the 2009s would be in by the end of the week, I asked if they'd drop…
There's a 2005ish Nissan Altima running around the Chicago Suburbs with the Gold Package and a poorly-conceived but well-executed tan vinyl top. The driver bears a striking resemblance to former Cicero mayor Betty Loren-Maltese (think aging mafia moll). I know approximately where it lives and works, but have never…
Had a roommate in grad school that had 1/3 of one of these. I say that because I think his started as a Cavalier, but various parts (including one tail light, if I recall correctly) had been indiscriminately replaced with junkyard finds he selected with no regard for badge consistancy.
@amblito:
The headlights on the 2009 Focus look like something out of the "rejected" file for the last generation Contour.

In memory of the late Will Leitch: Jim Edmonds.
Due to a malfunctioning fuzzy logic chip on my Zojirushi rice cooker, I just got sent a link to a Jalopnik forum in 2018. They're making fun of blue LEDs on dashes.
Jay Mariotti thinks that Tiger is an idiot, Ms. Knapp is too soft on him, that Tiger is the smartest, bestest golfer in history. And just to show how soft Ms. Knapp is Mariotti will avoid golf courses, Buick dealerships, Sweden and laser eye surgery.
Still can't believe CBS let him call his son's NCAA tournament game against Illinois. I think by the end of it Walton was calling for summary execution for anyone clad in orange who got within an arm's length of Luke.
Back in the late 80s/early 90s, there was a Camaro running around Champaign, IL with "BLIND" on a handicap plate.
Was I the only one who clicked "More" expecting to read "...also slept with Roger Clemens"?
I'm clinging to the hope that if there is a TG(A) that NBC'll have the sense to have Click and Clack as the guests for episode 2 (I'm assuming Leno is episode 1's guest).
Is it just the photo or is that grill a big sticker?
@AlfaCharger: Second. When I think of an American version of the TG guys, he's the first to spring to mind. The stuff he wrote for Automobile was awesome.
Vin's a fine announcer, but NBC had him calling the 1985 NLCS (Cards over Dodgers). He was so much of a homer in that series that by the end of it I swear he was implying that most of the Cardinal players were felons. This was after Keith Hernandez had gone to the Mets, so that was pretty unfair.
