As someone who will absolutely make my throat bleed trying (and failing) to sing “Something’s Coming” in karaoke (in the main room! none of that private room shit!)... I’m just gonna pretend this doesn’t exist. Seems like that might be the best course of action all around.
First you engage in genocide to steal all this land. Then you enslave other people to work it for you.
Sure my problem isn’t the existence if the exhibit, it’s absolutely something Sam should have done. It was Isaiah’s reaction that seemed too pat an ending for me.
Obama: I’d like to increase access to health insurance so Americans can get the healthcare they need, or can get it without going bankrupt.
Yeah I don’t have a problem with Sam doing it, it’s definitely the right thing to do. It’s more (and it probably reflects more on me) that Isaiah’s reaction was a little too much like saying it’s ok now. I woulda kicked that statue and said “Fuck you!” I mean, 30 years imprisoned with medical experiments... that’s…
“Sam acknowledging that millions of people will hate him for wearing that suit”
Presumably Sam would have worked out the consequences with our govt regarding revealing Isaiah’s identity? Though now that I think about it, that wouldn’t keep him safe from Hydra or people like the Power Broker.
I didn’t dislike it. In fact when I first saw it, I loved it. But as the episode went on I liked it less.
The only (very minor) problem I had with the finale was Sam taking Isaiah to the museum to show him the statue. It seemed like it was saying, “Everything is ok now!” and everything is NOT ok. A scene with Isaiah grudgingly accepting Sam as the new Cap would have been good enough and felt more genuine.
Good. See ya!
I guess that’s just how he was raised. No respect for law enforcement with those people.
The second time is used to highlight the pointlessness of the barb itself by showing it’s used JUST to be a barb as a callback to the first time when you didn’t know it was just an act. That being the point of recruit training, to see who cracks under pressure. Though it makes you wonder if they tried it today a…
Full Metal Jacket: Private Pyle played by Vincent D’Onfrio harassed by drill sgt, but actually driven to suicide by the beating given to him by his fellow recruits in addition to the drill sgt ruthless behavior.
I guess we know who’s winning all the married fights from here on out.
White privilege is the freedom to not think of slavery in racist terms.
I was planning on playing ME:Andromeda again just to get me ready for ME:Legendary but I played for a few days and I just couldn’t anymore. What a disappointment.
They feel that any capitulation to the demands of, or respect for “others” is the slippery slope to their downfall from what they perceive is their perch atop cultural superiority.
The kinda guy who would skip the vax out of some knuckledragging notion of manhood would also lie and participate in Hot Vax Summer.
The question I have is how mandatory is that 29? How much leeway does the judge have?
