The first two episodes were very visually striking, the two lead actors are quite good, and the theme song music is absolutely stunning.

I have no idea why some critics seem to be so fond of this show. On paper I should love it. But it’s dull, repetitive, incredibly heavy-handed (the invoking of religious imagery is so on the nose that it seems like parody) and why you would cast a child actor who can’t act, in such a prominent role, is beyond me.
I enjoyed enough of it to recommend it, but it’s not essential. Affleck is really, really good. There’s a scene with him confronting the father that played out very differently than I was expecting, to the movie’s credit.
...his own writerly talent pickling too long in a brine of faux-sagacity.
He whacks off just like the rest of us
Clint Eastwood should mentor him Yoda-style
nobody directs movies nobody remembers better than george clooney, except for confessions of a dangerous mind which rips.
If you squint hard enough, this basically plays like a Good Will Hunting spin-off, where we find out what happened to Chuckie after Will drove off. He even has a new group of friends he picks up every morning and rides around town with (one of which I was absolutely sure was going to be played by Casey).
Clooney’s latest claptrap about his waning libido seems to have taken an odd turn.
Jumping in here to recommend the audiobook, if you’re into that medium. The narrator is terrific.
A sad waste of great talent.

Ridley Scott is already blaming members of The Silent Generation for the film’s eventual failure at the box office.
There is no director’s cut of the 1984 movie. There’s an anti-director’s cut that Lynch had nothing to do with and objected so strongly to that he had his name removed from the credits.
If you count the streaming version of Justice League, this is the third R rated superhero movie that DC has released in the past year. I don't know when the novelty is supposed to wear off.
Bloodshot or Bloodsport?
I will watch any movie where Sam Richardson is the lead, just to do my part in signaling that Sam Richardson should be the lead in everything.
Werewolf Milana Vayntrub could maul me horrifically anytime!
