I guess younger generations of viewers are far less demanding.

The first one was such a profoundly stupid movie. Not even good stupid.

See how inescapable he is? We can’t stop renting out all of G/O media’s mindspace to him for free!

Oh wow, it’s tonight? I’m so excited! This means that we only have to hear about this stupid bullshit for another couple of days.

“He’s inescapable! Let’s write 17 articles about him!”

Elon says it will be in 4K, but it will end up being 640x480 (if that) because they’re running it through one of his tunnels.

I always watch SNL the day after. Doesn’t seem to make sense to watch it ‘live’ when most of the hosts (at least) are already dead inside.

Is this the third or fourth article AV Club has done about him hosting SNL before his appearance? Are they doing PR for him?

So shocked that a discussion about Louis Farrakhan would devolve into anti-Semitic garbage said no one ever.

One perfect aspect of this film was the completely stellar soundtrack. Every track is perfect, and the opening song “Natural’s Not in It” by Gang of Four remains one of my favorite songs of all time.

Ok, a couple things:

The monologue was Sorkian-bad, sorry. Not your fault Mackie, you were awesome as always.

Something that just doesn’t sit right with me is the idea that Steve Rogers would leave Sharon Carter out in the cold for five years.

This series was... strange. Can’t say it really grabbed me. The racial elements seemed ridiculously on-the-nose, compounded at the end with Sam’s speech. They didn’t really adhere to “Show, don’t tell” at any point. I’m sure it’s something to do with the reportedly abandoned pandemic storyline that the pacing and

We also have to credit Sam/Cap for a new first: The very first MCU character to wear the comic-accurate head-sock.

I liked this episode, though I feel that whole “this could’ve been a movie” deeply. Sam’s speech got to the heart of what being Captain America really is, it’s being the one person in the room to say “Hold on a minute, think about what you are doing, think about who you’re hurting. This is wrong.” and being the one

I would’ve preferred the title at the end being changed to Captain America and the White Wolf.

I think this was a good example of when being off-the-nose would be detrimental. Prior to this series, I don’t think anyone in the MCU ever mentioned that Sam was Black. As viewers we understood that both Anthony Mackie and Sam Wilson are Black. But it never came up in conversation! Not even from the two characters

I can see it. I loved it as a speech, but it was a super well-prepared speech for a spur-of-the-moment admonishment (and broadcasting worldwide!!). Was Sam rehearsing that on the way to the battle? You could easily imagine MCU-Obama giving the same speech almost line-for-line.

A couple of other thoughts. My God, if

Yikes, what a mess this show turned out to be.
