No mention of the blue flower from the opening, sprouting from where Nacho died, free to live a full beautiful life amongst the harshness all around it in a way that Nacho will never be able to do?

Like maybe it’s a totally separate movie, Daniel Day Lewis Prepares, directed by Werner Herzog, and we could just sit back and watch.

Even if this isn’t any good, I at least give them credit for a unique visual style.
If I were the director and “generic movie bad guy” showed up looking like that, I would probably tell wardrobe, hair and makeup to tone it down a bit.
Counterpoint: he is being described as some kind of maniac, one who needs to be high or loaded all the time.
1. I’m not convinced that is everything I need to know.
It’s frustrating how this was clearly a toxic, mutually abusive relationship, but everyone is deciding to make only *one* party out to be history’s greatest monster.
I love how people are painting this as a result of JK Rowling’s rants and the Johnny Depp/Amber Heard fight when even the first one, done before all of this became high-profile talking points, was largely met with a resounding “Eh, it exists, I guess” reaction.
Just wondering, why are people mad at Mark Wahlberg? He’s guilty of two horrible hate crimes well over three decades ago, when he was a teenager. No debate there. To my knowledge he’s completely disavowed his own behavior and nothing he’s done since remotely indicates he still thinks that way. I don’t make it my…
Terrance Stamp gets a call...
Look his turn as Skeletor in Masters of the Universe is one of the great dramatic performances in history, but if the dude is harassing women on set then there’s no real room for it and he’s got to go. Sucks because I love his work
Brent Simon had a job to do, and that’s to review this movie on its own terms. In that respect, he’s done his job well enough. But beyond that, there’s also a responsibility to address a film outside the vacuum of its opening and closing credits. Who made it? What kind of people were in front of and behind the camera?…
Now I’m sad.
At Christopher Plummer's house, the phone rings and rings.......
Youre all surprised that Frank Langella did this? Hell I’d bet the over that he’s unsheathed his member on half the sets he’s worked on! The man is one of the most notorious cooze And prick hounds in film for decades! It’s only it the age we live in that people have put their feet down and finally said it’s…
This is too bad. At just 84 years of age, Langella had a bright future ahead of him.
I really thought they’d open with a slap sketch. I was super disappointed. Somebody should get fired for that. And the political cold open was terrible.
Well I guess I’m going to have to point out what Michael is too kind to say: that Oscars sketch sucked. Chris Redd’s impression probably hindered it from the get-go (probably should’ve dragged Jay Pharoah back to do it), but from beginning-to-end, that sketch suuuuuucked.
I’ll miss the daily What’s On, but I’m glad at least something in this lane is back!
