That GV60 is giving me modern 08-14 STI hatch vibes. It has a nice profile with lots of body and those wheels are a combo of OZ Rallys married to STI five-double spokes. All it’s really missing is a big spoiler.

It’s amazing how it threaded the needle perfectly between two gas pumps. This could have been waaaaaaaay worse.

Car insurance is, or should be, a big part of this consideration. Teenagers, especially teen boys, are much more expensive to insure. If you want to get them any kind of sports car, enjoy your insurance rates going up faster than the speedometer in the car.

Woah check out those rear brakes.

I’m a bit puzzled by the state of this car. Given how wrecked the passenger sills are, and the obvious exposure to water inside, I was expecting the underside to be an absolute horror show. Current gen Focus ST Estate - yes please

The Puma would have been a much better option than the Ecosport; but to be fair it would have been more expensive.

Yes, but when was the last time you heard of a duck’s door blowing off mid flight?

Collect call for Bob Wehadababyitsaboy.

The Mitsubishi Mirage is a perfectly cromulent car. It is reliableish, able to take most of the stresses of commuter life, low maintenance, and cheap to buy and run. That is all ninety-nine percent of the driving public care about. It is also small enough to park in crowded cities and apartment parking lots without

No worries; a turtle riding a flying cloud will catch them with a fishing line before they hit the ground and deposit them safely back onto the track, helping himself to a few of their coins for his troublese.

Remember when this site would have had an unmodified vehicle pic to compare? Pepperidge Farm remembers.

Good to see Jalopnik revisiting the classic article format. It’s been a long time since we’ve seen a “buy this old ass luxury car for the price of a reliable new staple automobile” article.
