I had one of those Escapes and had to replace the battery. It truly was a huge pain to do. I thankfully got the wipers lined up on the second try to reinstall everything.
Service loaners are different. It’s marked as sold to the manufacturer and the warranty starts since it’s getting miles at it to it. That’s how it works on with Ford and I’m sure it’s similar with the others.

I love my Focus, but why is the dash so damn deep? I could rent it out as a bed is so big. It really robs the already small interior of much-needed interior space.

Good call on the Nitro. I drove one for a few hours and I remember it looks big and mean on the outside, but you felt squashed on the inside because it was so narrow feeling. I thought I was going to tip over in the corners.
That thing is way worse than the crappiest of small cars (Spark, Mirage, etc.)
