Half listened premise sounds interesting. Not really that interested in another YA dystopia though. But the whole "factions" thing reminds me of MTG
Love is more powerful than hate. Is it the fact that it's an AXE commercial (which is a killing blow I will admit, that stuff in inexcusable) that made people hate it, or the cheapening of real world events? Because I thought at the core it was a touching message, even it it was a cooperate shill.

I always loved how Finn's voice would occasionally crack when he got overly excited or angry. I guess now I know how they did it.
The only thing that I had to rewind and rewatch was when Kathy Bates used the N word in her flashback monologue sequence. Took me a few times to actually believe they went there.
The man of Steel villains were of a sloppy rehashing, but it did occur to me that Luthor would have fit so much better in their place.

Forgive me if I walked out of this movie without getting the plot straight but:
I think the idea that Cordelia's pitiful drowning in her mothers shadow suppressed her magical talents (and therefore the signs she was the supreme) is a pretty clever twist. Or else it would have been if it was handled at all properly.
Gritty and realistic is cool and all, but it just seems very strange for an entire movie to play them so straight.

Anyone else think Julia was there as a kid? Maybe it's the crummy handwriting and the flowers, but I guess carving isn't exactly known for penmenship and the flowers were her rosebud.
