At least if I lose something during anal play (unlikely) I’d be honest about it at the ER. People can laugh later, but I’m sure you all hear “I fell...” way too often.

I heard that story on NPR and was amazed and horrified. I’m glad the hospital is getting slammed for it, they all should be supporting their staff. The board can take a pay-cut!
I have a friend who’s a travel nurse and it seems pretty awesome, although she works with Peds, so she’d say the worst part for her is the parents. :)
My niece might need your help, she waits until she is terribly uncomfortable and then it is so painful for her when she does go. Poor thing needs to drink a lot more water (nearly 2) since she eats super healthy and well.
My mom (dietician) said once when she was doing rounds as a student she stepped into an elevator with only two people in it, an orderly and a guy in a wheelchair. Then she realized the guy in the wheelchair was dead. She didn’t quite know what to do until the MA/NA pushing the wheelchair calmly smiled at her and said,…
Hmm, I wonder if that’s the Maple Syurp like smell of some renal patients, since I presume she hadn’t done a urine dip? That is pretty bad kidney failure.
Hugs to your mom!
Good for her!!! That is awesome. I hope you both still got to go home, have your beers, and watch Titanic. :)
My mom’s a dietician and anytime we need a recommendation for a Dr., office for care, or advice on a surgeon’s outcomes (for my emergency gallbladder removal) we always ask the nurses. :) Hugs to all of you!
I always think of the Animaniacs saying it, so I think it’s funny, but I’ve also never had it directed towards me.
I think I remember her (if it’s a Gawker commenter), how funny! :) A bit of sunshine...
I can’t wait to get it, thanks!
Makes me think of the radioactive clock painters and their horrible side-effects from radiation poisoning.
Used to be? What about the flame-retardants in our couches now? Or BP-A/C’s in plastics? Both of those have carcinogenic effects and are still being used in lots of household things. Industry just didn’t care until it was forced to.
Interesting! (from a sociology standpoint) That is scary.
Very true. Or if you weren’t his type you just might not have gotten that ‘creepy’ vibe from him.
How horrible, I hope you two didn’t have kids together, so you don’t have to see him anymore.
Thanks for that link! I hadn’t heard of that and it’s great.
OMG! How do you deal with self-care after that kind of case? Therapy? You didn’t actually have to watch the videos did you, that would be horrible.
I’m a chronic migrainuer, and this is the first time I’ve seen that image. I’m stealing it too. :)
