Good for you! My Mom’s a dietician and our parents were very open with all things sex related. She has worked with WIC, taught nursing classes, etc... so even though I wasn’t sexually active when I turned 18 it was off to the GYNO. She asked all her favorite nurses and I ended up with the best Dr.’s ever.

A real thing. Even if you only get a PAP Smear every three years, unless there’s some reason to have them more often, a yearly Well Woman exam involves both a breast exam and pelvic exam.

True, especially as a woman if she’s in the kitchen that might be all she had access too.

Hugs! I have PCOS and while I know I eat a crappy diet, and drink too much pop (which not helpful at all), before I started eating this way I gained 20 pounds in a year and haven’t been able to drop it at all. Argh! We don’t need any help, that’s what my mom is for. (Joking, sort of)

How else do you learn about things if you don’t take them apart? I find it fascinating, and when we butcher pigs at work (I work at a museum) I always do an anatomy lesson with visitors.

I took an easy science class in Senior year and didn’t take AP Bio, which I regret now. They got to disect fetal pigs, and I was so jealous. I grew up in MI but have lived in TX for nearly 8 years. I still close the blinds all the time, and only turn the AC on when I’m home (to like 80). It’s too humid to open the windows at night sadly, but I love doing it when I visit my family on vacation. :)
