Hugs! I’ve lost parents of students, but not students. Were a lot of your class able to come or did they do something separately?

A group of friends, me and my then-boyfriend were touring Ireland when S’s aunt died. He’s a first-generation American so his family lived somewhat close and knew we were in the area. Two days later they meet us at the dock to head to the Arran Islands, and S and his wife again he was still so drunk he can barely…
Your cousin probably would have been right there with you. :)
Do you know any of her other friends to get together and have a lunch where you talk about your friend? Or can email together? I live across the country from where I grew up and I’m still grieving sudden deaths fo friends that died suddenly the last few years and it’s really helped me.
Yeouch! Fire-ants sucks!!
Wow!! I’m surprised you didn’t whack him with a plate of jello, what a horrible, narow-minded, thing to say. I’d almost want to go back and bring a birth certificate or something just to piss him off some more.
I remember those creepy lamps, so glad they’re gone now.
I love the line green ones! I’ve never made one though, I’ll have to check out the Unfortaine Food blog to see if there’s a recipe. I remember my mom putting strawberries in red jello, bananas in yellow, but she generally stuck to fruit so it wasn’t bad.
As hard as it must have been for your family to not use the churches, good for them for not hosting his funeral. Beating up a nun, WTF? I hope your grandma enjoyed being free of him, although I’m sorry it didn’t happen sooner for her.
Why couldn’t your parent’s just have hung up their end of the line?
That blizzard was crazy! It took me an hour to go a mile trying to get to work and my whole family was piled in teh car with shovels before we gave it up and went back home. Luckily no one in my family died that year, they all tend to die around Xmas as well, since being outside or trying to thaw the ground then must…
Maybe to keep any fluids (spinal fluid, or blood) from his head injury from coming out of his ears? It’s pretty common to put gauze in the nose and mouth so maybe the ears too?
How odd, I’ve gotten goosebumps!
Yikes! I got stung by a bunch of hornets earlier this year and cut onions, or wet tobacco, really do help but I’ve never been stung that much. Your poor dad (and family!).
I’m glad you’re ok. SSRI/alcohol/something mixup is crazy stuff.
I know they have programs to help with drinking, and scared straight has a place, but I don’t know if that would really work. Has it kept anyone from drinking and playing chicken with a train?
I look/sound a lot like my mom and there’s been times when I still lived in my hometown I’d be out doing something and someone would call to me, or I’d answer the phone and they’d think I was her. Poor you. hugs!
Wow, I have flown after other flights have crashed recently (although not in a terrorist event) and you can tell everyone is thinking about those folks at take-off.
Oh, the last line. You poor thing.
Were you into a Gothy look? Otherwise WTF?
