If it’s sentimental to you keep it, if not it is just a piece of furniture. I have a few heirloom pieces but other than that mine are mostly family hand-me-downs that I like. You don’t have to get rid of everything you like.

I can see spelling names differently, phonetically they sound the same, but there can be some interesting spellings. The hard part is when you have a student taking the same grade again and have trouble spelling their name by grade three.
