Very true, especially since when they do Rumpspringa or are shunned they are left whitout a safety net, and even if they are still in good graces with the community mental health care is hard to come by. Being Plain isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

I appreciate a lot of things about the Amish but as another insular group if one their own is molested they go to their church members first too, like the Duggars’ did, not the police. and some people do say they are a cult, but often when a group disagrees from another they break off and form another Amish church.…

Get a pretty umbrella, it does the same thing. I also wear long, loose, cotton clothes. Comfy and sunprotecting.
