I think mine is a pretty solid sub $30k total: '05 Lotus Elise and '99 4Runner.

Who would win the following fights:
Actually, for industrial grade LCD panels (high heat, vibration resistant, etc) 4:3 aspect ratio ("square screen") is still the standard. It's generally better for data displays, but worse for watching the latest Batman video. Also, because large industrial equipment last much longer than a MacBook, they have to…
After further review... this is almost definitely a version of the 1.4 MultiAir Fiat motor. Oil filler location, coil-pack style and orientation, intake location, etc all match up.
Mazda uses the F** engine designation on it's inline fours. There was a previous F2T that was turbo version. Could indicate Mazda sourced motor. Also, most of the engine/radiator caps look Japanese.
First two digits of VIN are "JM" = J(apan) M(azda)
I'm still pissed I didn't order an 1 Series M Coupe, especially considering it's still worth more than new. I will not make that mistake again. Based on the growth of the 3/4 Series, I feel like this is spiritual successor to the best car I've ever owned: the E46 M3.
In reply to the "why would need this for a burnout?" and "Only idiots need something like this" themed comments: You simply can't do a stationary burnout without this and not take thousands of miles off your rear brake pads (on a RWD car). "Burnout Control" has been known as a line lock for 50 years, and has been used…
Free is normally good, but free means everyone on that plane will use it. Even at 30 Mbps, with 80% of passengers connected (~300 on the 747-400 for Air China) the average bandwidth is 0.1Mbps or 100 Kbps. Barely faster than dial-up. This is why I am acutally OK paying $14 per flight. It keeps the causal facebooker…
As the owner of a 2,000 lb mid-engine sports car, I can tell you power steering won't be needed on this car. My manual steering is actual quite easy (I can turn the wheels at a dead stop with one hand with little effort). Also, I can tell you that is by far the most communicative, responsive and fun steering system…
I've actually been in all 4. The Model S is closer in price to the S-Class than E-Class: Base Model starts at $69,900 and Model S P85 starts at $93,400 E-Class starts at $51,600 and the S-550 starts at $92,900. The demographic that buys the Model S would've been S-Class/7-Series buyers, not E350 buyers. As far as…
Umm...it's outselling your comparable model? Luxury car buyers aren't buying Tesla to save gas money. It's a more compelling product and the drivetrain is only part of that.
Also, our highways are pure hell, so you have to get a brief moment of joy where you can.
Those lights are almost like watching the lights on a Christmas tree drop. I hard launch through 1st & 2nd every time. Smiling like a 3yr old throughout the process.
While launch control definitely helps the specsmanship battle, it's actually a great feature for most of the target demographic. Most of these cars won't be tracked and very few will ever be able to push the limits of top speed safely (or legally). You can be sure, however, that the guy that spends this much coin on a…
Showing up to an event like this (in England nonetheless) with a '67 Mustang on fats and skinnies? I like it. Would definitely drink a beer with that guy.
This is my 2nd favorite idea. Needs some fine tuning, but:
Not a shirt yet. Just photoshopped on a generic dude w/ t-shirt image.
This.
Nice photos. As requested: I still hate the Panamera.
