There’s always the possibility the damage was caused by a collision with the open door. I could certainly imagine a bicyclist colliding with the door hard enough to break a spot weld but not hard enough to cause visible damage, considering the leverage involved. As noted, it gives away more than 30% of the power. The suspension and brakes are also much lower spec than the R6.

Not much comparison to an R6. This motor is much less powerful. I’m sure it’ll be a blast to ride. It’ll be nice to see this motor in a better chassis than what the MT offered. Plus it’s cheaper and more accessible than the R6 was. This bike is a winner as long as you aren’t expecting an R6.

I fail to see how this is the bike for people who missed the R6. A few points according to Yamaha’s website the R7 is only 3lbs lighter than the out going R6.
