Well for what it's worth in that same Defamer piece there's a link to a Facebook post Doug Stanhope made in which he says the hotel room incident is about him, not Louis CK, though maybe he's joking:

No. You've added stuff to posts I've replied to, myself, so I know that's not true. And you've basically added qualifications and edited your original posts to water them down to make it seem like you were being more reasonable and cool headed about the matter than you were, so take your nuts and fuck right off.
Nice additions to your original post
without indicating they were edits, too.
Yeah I just read that over at Gawker's "Defamer" site. The part about him putting himself between them and the door is definitely the most damning part. There's also another incident included in the same piece in which he allegedly grabbed another female comic from behind and said "I'm going to fuck you" (maybe…
I called it unwanted sexual advances above because so far the only things I've seen linked have danced around what allegedly happened. The forcing-women-to-watch-him-masturbate part isn't included anywhere. If that's true, then yes it's sexual assault.
Nobody here is saying it's acceptable behavior.
Great joke.
Edit: The original comment to which I reply below read as follows (I know because the original appears in the email notification I received when he first made it):
Mm. Foley's French Canadian prostitute character from Kids in the Hall and Duchovny's cross-dressing character from Twin Peaks would make one dynamic duo.
I'm not a huge Louis CK fan. I like his stand-up specials, but I've yet to see his show (it's on my to do list) and I'm not especially enamoured of him. So I don't feel as though I'm biased one way or the other.
I don't think every comic who has raunchy material is a real-life sex offender, or even someone who has made unwanted sexual advances towards others, which seems to be the extent of what's being insinuated about him.
Give me Serena Altschul and Alison Stewart.
He is, though in my book nobody beats Dave Foley in that regard.
Yeah I was surprised that this makes no reference to the "Famous School for Comedians" kerfuffle from yesterday involving Esquire, Patton Oswalt, and Albert Brooks, especially considering AVC had a Newswire item about it and it seems at least tangentially relevant. Oh well.
And wasn't that from Opus, whose one experience with women was a broken engagement to a woman with the last name Granola?
That one guy = Ian MacKaye of Minor Threat and Fugazi, you twerp.*
The best part of that video for me was the cut to Paul and his looking like a goofy dad taking his kid to a summer welcome for incoming freshmen in college. No sequins. No Bedazzled suits and sunglasses. Just a white polo (or maybe it's a button-up) and bifocals.
That might be my favorite thing about it. I can imagine a teenage Grohl including something like "Tell your brother Alec I say 'hi'!"
I'm assuming this is an Arrested Development reference, hence my upvote.
There were plenty of lump summaries going the other way in the comments on that article.
