Toys is a movie that I liked the soundtrack more than the movie.

While high in the 90s, this came on Liquid TV. It was glorious.
Give Henry Winkler’s eye/brow area a special Emmy, please!
He and Hank don’t have a lot of places they can go to really be safe
“I'm the Raven" and her bemused look - one of the few laughs in the ep.
Even that prison guard thought “The Raven” was a stupid nickname.
Bill Hader should direct horror movies. That scene in the jail cell is just impeccable and horrifying. The use of noise (one moment oppressive, the next deathly silent) in the beach scenes or when Sally kills the biker in the soundproof room (what a moment!) and the car chase scenes...man. He’s good.
I thought this episode was really satisfying. Other thoughts:
That would effectively ruin the show for me. Might as well have Gene Cousinou jump a shark after that.
Between this and Righteous Gemstones, it’s been a banner year for evil motocross goons on HBO
The idea of Barry and Fuches begrudgingly teaming up yet again to escape prison sounds tantalizing.
The extended scene with Sally shocked me with how violent it was. Nothing about that scene particularly worried me, but the choking and the eye effect was a little too much for me. Especially when the episode decided to not be a comedy, so that was also a choice I hated.
How about the cool choice of not having any subtitles for us when Cristobal’s wife was talking to him. They weren’t necessary.
They were just balancing the scales after Shea Whigham’s “Ray” from Vice Principals, who was maybe the most decent character in television history.
“is there something in my eye?” I cackled.
Spectacular and gutting episode. Shit is so much scarier when you can’t see it. Hader outdid himself this season, both in acting and directing.
One thing I noticed in terms of theme is that everyone who sought Barry for revenge failed to get it (and all in a different way, including one person just quitting out). The person who sought Barry for justice succeeded.
Could Barry be dreaming all of this?
I feel like everyone would have been fine if they had just listened to Mitch.
