Anyone else think Porsche will come full circle and start making the 911 with a water cooled motor based off of some small VW product (ass engined polo anyone?). I feel like that's what they'll end up doing eventually; I mean where do you go from here? Can Porsche keep making the same design for another 40 years? Mind

What are the rules as far as turbocharging go in GT2? I would think it would make more sense to put the mp4 there. Can you imagine, Corvette, Ferrari and McLaren all duking it out at Lemans again? I don't know what I would do with myself...

@elchimpo: I really like the man bag and I'm not a tool I swear!

LaSalle made a concept in 1955, or '50 called the LaSalle II that I'd say is a precursor to the modern American car. It was a large sedan with a DOHC V6 and front wheel drive, I'd say that's pretty spot on for many American cars 2 decades later. Ateupwithmotor had a great write up on the Olds Tornado that talks about

I think the concept for the LaSalle II was using tech that was decades ahead of its time, a transverse direct injected DOHC V6 with a transaxle and front wheel drive back in '55. Essentially the inspiration for the modern American car for a long time. There's a great write up on Ateupwithmotor about the Olds Tornado

@syaieya: I think the SLS hit the nail on the head, it's much better than the prior Hilton-mobile the SLR...not counting the Sterling Moss version of course

Crystal meth is a hell of a drug.

You know it's funny but that chart Peter had showing drivers stats affirms that comment about Shumi's first career being the result of a great driver in a mediocre driver era. You look at his line in 2002 and it seems to confirm that he would only finish mid pack now.

Lot's of posts about Holden, it's Ray's Holden hard on. Dragon away good sir, dragon away.
