MB has used 9-speeds across most of their lineup for a few years now to strong praise. Don’t worry, it’s not DaimlerChrysler anymore ;)

I’d be willing to bet they’re also looking at batteries from accidents. There will be plenty of EVs wrecked and junked and if there is collision damage, they’d be ‘bad’ batteries.
Will be interesting to watch this all develop!
The new Eclipse and now this?
The Pontiac Aztek really was ahead of its time...
The trunk/taillamp assemble looks downright cheap.
I had no idea the wagon was called the S-Series, and I grew up near Spring Hill when these were made.
S-Series is something I’ve heard non-carpeople say when they mix their Mercedes and BMW knowledge.
Unfortunately not a Lincoln, but a Ford
My dad had a ‘94 Intrepid ES and he loved it. It was a great car during the 90's. Sure, they all fell apart in the 2000s, but most first and second owners had moved on by then anyways.
The active seniors pitch must be because they knowingly slapped Cadillac taillamps on the Campagno!
I enjoyed the ad, and as an average person knew it was completely innocent and fantasy.
Also, has it escaped him that the Dodge ad was a total Miami Vice recreation? It even had Phil Collins blaring!
But hey, this is great PR for his drag strip, so it’s brilliant on that point.
Electrified to these manufacturers means the adoption of 48V electrical systems that can work with integrated starter motors to move the car under electric power at low speeds and help make auto/start stop functions smoother.
As someone who has been bumped by a Tesla, this sucks.
However, just because it’s not law doesn’t mean automakers won’t install the system. By now they’re used to baking them into the price of the cars, have supplier contracts set up, and may even install them because of demands from other global markets. Sometimes the…
It sounds like it’s on a next-gen platform. Hopefully that solves some of that. You have to imagine they’re gunning for A3.
Did you know the electric motor in the new smart electric is air-cooled and mounted in rear?
I get the sneaking suspicion you may enjoy that...
Whoa, whoa, whoa! Satellite Sebring!? They purposefully dug the Sebring name back out for 1996?
Maybe, but that 18 kWh battery pack means it’s eligible for the full $7,500 tax incentive. IRS determines the rebate based off of battery size, not range of the battery.
For a PHEV, that 18 kWh battery is HUGE! It’s bigger than the battery in a smart electric.
US PHEV tax credits are based on the battery size, and this car will qualify for the full $7,500. That’s a nice advantage over the BMW 740e, which qualifies for $4,668 for it’s 9.2 kWh battery.
The Tahoe is moving at a higher rate of speed and brakes later. Clearly he intended to go through the light.
The man has owned many Mercedes and Maybachs!
Let’s see how the thousands of Americans working in Germany car company dealers, factories (in red, non-Unionized states!), distribution centers and offices respond to this...
Shout out to the stopping power of that Tahoe!
