That top picture shows exactly why the stupid modern obsession with showing older games in gigantic sharp square pixels is a problem. Castlevania didn’t look terrible like that on the GBA at all!

Came here to post exactly this. Sunlight was the best for the original GBA, in fact to this day all modern screens are either dim or downright unwatchable, while the GBA screen still shines (no pun intended). Literally the only side effect is a slight rainbowish image.
