Based on how the Roy Moore and tax hike bill sagas are playing out, I have no confidence that the GOP will do a damn thing no matter what Trump does. It’s clear they’re too afraid of Fox News and Trump’s base to do anything beyond bleat in distress and wring their hands.

“The Christmas Story begins 2,000 years ago with a mother, a father, their baby son and the most extraordinary gift of all—the gift of God’s love for all of humanity.

The last best chance to defeat it, assuming the Senate bill passes today or Monday, will be in the reconciliation.

I personally prefer this angle of the WH Christmas tree ceremony.

It was the largest crowd in annual lightings. Period.

The Senators on Twitter are so mad. This is a farce.

Shakespeare’s been on point today on Twitter.

That tax bill right now is probably the worst and most urgent thing happening. I know everything is being swallowed up by Flynn but goddamn are they about to ruin a lot of people’s lives with that horrible bill.

I also love how they make a point of him serving in the Obama administration. Yeah, you know, the one he was FIRED from. I mean, it’s not like he was an aggressive surrogate and campaigner for the current president...

This is Ty Cobb’s statement in GIF form:

When your namesake is one of the most racist dickheads ever to play professional baseball, you have a lot to live up to.

It’s even worse, actually- I work with 7th graders.

Have you BEEN in a high school classroom lately? Everyone has phones out most of the time. How about we heap praise on this person that tolerate teenagers in order to have an educated populace?

Oh it’s about to get better. Isn’t the White House holiday party with the media today?

I can’t imagine admonishing a complete stranger for allegedly looking at a phone/computer during class while students take a test. I admire you for responding gracefully.

This is from Mother Jones. Simple but satisfying:

I was eating a donut and had to put it down. It takes a lot to make me stop eating my weekly Friday donut.
