I think calling it insulting is frivolous. Just like no one in an English speaking country would pronounce BMW as “bee em vee” like a German would.

I’m laughing

Unless this is sarcastic, I’m genuinely surprised that this bothers people. I have a 320Ci with this layout and I’ve never once pressed the wrong button. All the doors lock automatically after you pull away so there’s never the problem of some being out of sync.

Chan makes an excellent point. I guess eighty-six has a better flow to it. I live in Australia and these things are more common than Corollas.

I’ve only ever heard it called “eighty six”

I always thought they were cute, the american take on “retro” borders on vulgarity most of the time

don’t forget the Nissan Figaro!

I kinda like the nod to the past with the vertical grille, not sure about the rest

The back is where they lose me with this car. The horizontal light bar with the little flicks at the end was the most distinct part of the original car. I almost feel like they should turn the new one upside down.

I laughed harder than I should have at the arrow on your GPS

There is no way I’d spend 6k on Japanese boy racer blue, that color makes me tired to look at.
