Yes! It kills me that there’s no repository for facts about museum items unless you present something to Blathers. I get that seeing/hearing his reactions to fossils and critters is going to be different from just reading the dialogue, but I’d still like to freely revisit his factoids without needing an additional

I hadn’t checked out the butterfly room (I’m sure there’s a name for it but I refuse to care) since the museum opened, but I went in today because of the event and it was actually really nice now that it’s full of about ten zillion butterflies. Thanks, Museum Day.

Agreed. And I think this post misses the point of the event entirely.

If that was your goal I think there should have been less emphasis on how this event can’t be farmed for money and why that’s bad. You explain how the event works, explain why you can’t make any money from it, then have one paragraph comparing it to other events and showing why they were more interesting.

Cheers to this! This game is more a low-key agrarian therapy simulator than an actual game. Trying to apply metrics of what’s “best” and what’s “worthwhile” feels out of place - every single person’s version of “playing” this game is going to be subjective.  And that’s ok!  I’ll be honest, I didn’t know that

It really saddens me that everything in this game is being analyzed through some sort of min/maxing lens. It’s not just Kotaku. Unless a seasonal event or new bug type brings with it a new get rich scheme, it gets bashed as a waste of time. In an entire game about slowing down and appreciating the changes that come

It’s a family van, not a work van. It is meant to carry people, not cargo. No one will care about this for the one time they have to remove the seats in the 10 years of ownership.

Yes, the hybrid Pacifica loses the Stow-n-Go since that’s where the massive 16kWh battery resides.

To say Toyota, Honda, etc cannot “figure out” how to make folding seats is not accurate. They can and have (see: folding 3rd row seats). Either their customers don’t see 2nd row folding as value-added, or there are some other constraint(s) that aren’t worth working around.

Chrysler does that by having shitty seats that are very thin, and giving up all of the cargo space that would otherwise be available under them. It’s a lot like Honda being so proud of its trucklet having an in-bed cargo box... except that they did it by raising the bed floor so the bed capacity is much smaller and

To carry people.

It remains one of the great ironies that bigoted, intolerant douchebags take their iconography from a film made by two trans women. (Especially since the film can be read as a “coming out” parable fairly easily.)

You still need talent to bring out the speed of these things, especially back in the 90s.

I’ve been seeing a lot of these “painting an image with terraforming” trends floating around. You could probably make an entire article of these!

We all make mistakes. I’ll be resigning from Kotaku soon. Sorry I failed you all.

Cataku was RIGHT there!

69 pages!? Who can read this?! We’ll replace it with a one page plan.  Get a sharpie!”

Obama-Biden plan that has been referenced was insufficient,

... but reality is that the direction we’re heading in, where more people have more guns, more extreme viewpoints, and more tolerance for that kind of display, is not a good one.

It’s true.

The sad thing is, they’re not entirely wrong. We can’t just stay locked down forever. It’s unsustainable.

But show us you’re willing to get on the fucking payload so we can win this thing. Know what I mean?
