Judging from my experience with the Forza 6 demo and Horizon 3, you’ll be fine. It obviously won’t run it at 4K and 60 fps like the Xbox 1X (even if it’s not true 4K like they’re advertising, close enough), but you can probably get it to close to 60 fps at 1080p at medium settings.

No Kidding. Water is wet and farts smell. Ok that’s kind of a jerk way to put it but you’re not saying anything that I don’t already know. I certainly don’t need it explained to me.

    1) there are no “hassles of PC gaming”. This isn’t 1997.

    What’s your specs?

I’ve also tried Rocket League with mouse and keyboard, and it’s definitely not ideal lol. Using mouse to control the car was better than in Project Cars, but RL is definitely a a game designed for controllers.

They make little to no money off consoles. They make the money on games, and accessories like controllers and so on. By releasing games on PC as well, they open up sales to a lot more people who otherwise wouldn’t buy a console. It doesn’t matter if you buy the game on console, or PC, Microsoft still makes its money.

In my case, I’m not buying a new TV and XBOXXX to play Forza in 4k but will play 4k on PC just for funzies. Will spend most of my Forza gaming on my old ass regular xbone. Just one example (it’s weird to play PC and Console...i’m some kind of monster, i know...)

The majority of game consoles for the last 3 generations at least have been sold close to break even or even at a loss. As long as you buy the game, you’re good.

If you prefer playing games on a Windows 10 PC, why should Microsoft force you into an other ecosystem of theirs that you don’t really want? Especially since most gaming divisions only net profit from software anyway.

Haha, trying to call someone out for acting like a douchebag while acting like a douchebag yourself. Cute.

I use my Xbox 360 controller connected wirelessly to a $10 USB dongle.

I mean that’s a room layout thing, not really platform X > platform Y issue right?

    :’(

I suspect its more that they feel reasonably secure in the XBox brand surviving, but know that Windows 10 is still not making the inroads into the gaming community.

I’m still in their ecosystem, but have mostly deserted them. They used to get about 70% of my gaming budget, now it’s literally closer to about 2%. Games that I use to buy on the Xbox are now purchased on Steam.

Well I know there’s one ecosystem that I haven’t invested in this generation, and that’s the Xbox one (after purchasing their previous 2 consoles).

    Except Nintendo.*

    Hey dude,

This generation, Xbox is certainly the least attractive platform by far, and sales numbers back that up. Both Nintendo and Sony has hardware advantage and/or software exclusives to push their product, what exactly does Xbox have over their competitors?

I don’t, unfortunately. I don’t play enough racing games to make a wheel setup feasible.
