Correct. I actually find it a very smart move - let the other manufacturers take the "lead" in hardware, and simply lag behind them just by half a step. This way, you don't waste money in developing ultra-new hardware.

I don't think the problem is in achieving the final product for Japanese developers. I think the problem lies in their development process starting at pre-production, through the actual production process, and finally, going gold.
At least they didn't say it was MW2 or MW3 that was the influence. :P
It's a pre-rendered trailer. If I remember right, Bohemia doesn't do pre-renders. I'm betting it was a third party studio that did this trailer, and would likewise not know about the delayed sound.
