We had a separate booth for junk food. The most popular items were Doritos covered with nacho cheese or Flamin’ Hot Cheetos covered with nacho cheese. They sound like heartburn and constipation right now, but it was a delight for my fifteen year old self.

Eh, why not? I kinda did an overhaul of my wardrobe when I gained weight and started wearing more dresses just to boost my confidence.

My mom started dyeing her hair in her early 30s and was basically salt and pepper by my age (38). She gradually chose a lighter color as she aged, from chestnut brown to a dark blonde.

Snice I work from home, I’ve been dyeing my hair blue and purple to hide the grays. It looks black (I'm a dark brunette), but you can see the color close up.

My late husband, of mainly Czech and German descent, would put his arm right next to mine and say he was darker than me. I’m a pale Mexican and burn under the sun easily. My boyfriend is mainly Dutch and he makes me look tan.

The hair gives it away. I have a youngish looking face, but I grayed like crazy in the last five years. Dyeing my hair will have to be a normal routine.

Also, happy birthday! Hope you had a great and safe one!

At first, I thought that his show was canceled and got happy, but saw that it was a taping that was cancelled. Oh well.

This has been the first week since being sick in April when I haven’t felt fatigued. I also cooked more than usual: burgers, chicken sandwiches, chili, and I now have a pork shoulder in the slow cooker for carnitas. I also took a beginner’s karate class that the tenant of our office building offered for free (how can

Oof. I got a mild case back in April and was told by my doctor that I can’t get vaccinated until July. I haven’t heard from anyone that has been infected and vaccinated, but I had a friend that passed out during choir practice after her second shot.

I bought the red bag chicken for the first time last week and was happy with it (I never had Chick-fil-a and possibly never will). I even made the sauce with the condiments I had and made sandwiches with them.

Oh, no!

As a former Catholic, you're not wrong.

That book not only brought me to tears, but made me angry! How simple it is to brainwash some to go to a crowded train, puncture a bag of sarin, and walk away. I think about the parents and the young woman who survived, but needs caring for. I also try not to think about that in the pre-Covid times.

Right? She would’ve been better off staying with Steven and having his babies instead of following June and dying.

I lived near a Dante’s for a few years. Never tried it since they always looked closed and I always ordered from another nearby place. Comes out that that location doesn’t exist anymore.

Same here. The part I'm enjoying about this season is learning more about what's going on in Canada and spending more time with Moira, Rita, and (hopefully more) Emily.

The words I uttered to myself near the end was "Janine better not be fucking dead." As I mentioned discussing a past episode, I'm just sick and tired of characters getting killed left and right for June's sake.

I try not to think of elevators. Whenever I get back in the office, I have to take them.

That death is the 2,548,275th reason why I don’t take escalators.
