Yes indeed.
Yes indeed.
I hope she doesn’t.
Here’s the thing. Respect is earned. Donald Trump isn’t fucked up in the normal way a bad person is, you know, a person who constantly fucks up but still manages to find a way every once in awhile to sincerely apologize. Trump is supernaturally resistent to feeling real shame or embarrassment, so he’s constitutionally…
What do you think he would do for them? Unless she proposes a plan to erect a giant glass phallic symbol plastered with his name in her community as a “jobs program” why would he consider the plight of the poor black community? Or the poor, generally, really. He’s not a politician, he’s a narcissistic rich blow-hard…
Opposition to a fascist puppet of foreign oligarchs (who also happens to be a rapist of women and 13 year old girls) isn’t spiteful; it’s a universal moral obligation. Trump has never done one thing in his life for anyone but himself and isn’t worthy of life, let alone respect. People who say “wait and see” would…
There is no way. This will never happen, and I’d put money on it. She does not have the patience for bullshit her husband did, anyway. Like anyone non-elected person in a public position in politics, she looks good for elected office so long as she remains above it all.
Yes! I am so happy little girls everywhere but especially black little girls got to see this woman everyday be her husband’s equal not that condescending put on a pedestal “queen”. She’s got her own career, ideas and dreams and we got to witness it’s possible. We don’t deserve her but I’m so glad we got her!
I wouldn’t be so sure. I think she’d have a very good shot of winning, but I really think she genuinely has no interest in holding political office. And given the disgusting attacks by the Republican party on her and her family, I can’t blame her.
I think so as well. The NYT did a great writeup of her last weekend and discussed her restraint over the past 8 years in policing herself and her tone. I think she has and so I am excited to see what she does now.
Intelligence, glamour, strength and compassion is how I see her. I feel like she represents the ideal of a FLOTUS, she isn’t just window dressing to her husband, she had a career of her own before all this and I have no doubt a career afterwards. Strength because I could not even imagine having to hear all the shit…
Grace and gratitude. That’s what comes to mind first when I think of Michelle Obama. She represented the best of us. I’m proud to call her my First Lady, as a woman, a person of color (1/2 Samoan), a mother and an American
I forgot exactly where we were in Pittsburgh.
