I loved that bit, especially its non-ending as Abed just walks out.

Nevermind, it just happened again.

I am positive that if the show went another two seasons, we would have a third episode like this, someone else would die off-screen, and Pierce would be alive again (though not back in the cast; just an appearance).

I thought this episode was a companion to the Law & Order episode, including the death. In the Law & Order episode, Starburns died; this time, Pierce died (also off-screen), and Starburns came back to life.

On that note, I've finally given up wrestling with new AV Club + Disqus logging me out every hour. I made an account on Disqus (instead of here) and, so far, it hasn't happened again, but it's only been a few hours. We'll see.
