Maybe explain your point about Star Wars to guys in a live combat zone who don't want to come back missing part of their face.

Any piece of art that you, in particular, don't like should be torn down? There are pieces and styles of art that aren't my taste but I hardly think they're worthless just because I don't like them.

Pretty much. Put the phone in your pocket and drive the fucking car.

For example, logging enough Car Mode hours could help to lower your car insurance rates—a bit like Nest’s deal with energy companies.

Let's have a big argument about condiments.

Probably fun as hell to drive around though.

This is used for post-game analysis, not to figure out what's happening live.

In that link about the Swiss blowing up mountains bldgblog links to "Place de la Concorde Suisse" a book about the aforementioned. It's really good, you should read it if you liked this article.

The 5S also has the larger screen that debuted on the 5. I went 4S->5 and I'm waiting for my 5S to arrive, it's a big leap. The 5 is miles better than the 4s.

Speaking as someone who played way too much BF3 I don't think BF4 is more than an incremental upgrade on this generation of consoles. Jumping to 64 players on the Xbone and PS4 is neat though.

All speculation, but based on the BF3 Beta:

Bike helmets are one time use, if that's what you're talking about. Contact sport helmets are generally designed for repeated impacts over their lifetime as denoted on the certification sticker on the back.

If scalpers charge you even more money and you pay it then clearly the NFL's raised prices were still too low.

I've been using the betas and my iPhone 5 seems faster than it did on iOS 6. That said I've heard a lot of people complain that it makes the 4 slow, but at this point if you have an iPhone 4 it's three years old; it's slow. iOS 7 adds some new bells and whistles but your hardware is still the same.

Not to take sides here but it would probably be more helpful to discussion if you elaborated on why iOS 7 is so bad that you're going to switch phone ecosystems.

Doesn't the phone rely a password (PIN or alphanumeric) after a specified timeout on the fingerprint scanner?

Hmm, interesting. I have no idea what's going on at SJC.

I'd guess an occasional one of these would be ok, but still probably not a "good" idea.

I don't do it, but I think some people have lower alcohol tolerances than others (either physiologically or just a life choice to not drink a real beer and drive).

A lie? Most of these are something like 0.5% ABV. The winner is 0.3% ABV, so if you drank an entire 12 pack with dinner it'd be equivalent to drinking about 85% of a can of Coors Light.
