Neither are from this year, but I recently watched The Comeback and Enlightened, and both are my recent favorites over anything that's come out this year.

Came here just to make sure Yoshi's Island was included. My sister and I have filled up all 3 save files and routinely delete one just to experience it all over again.

I've never understood why people are so concerned about the sanctity of hot dogs. Are your tubes of ground up discarded animal parts that sacred?

I still find it weird that I Touch Myself was a song that played on the radio and everyone was just cool with.

As cheesy as it might have been, watching the cast of Orange is the New Black sing this last season brought me some great joy.

Liz Phair is so important to me that it's sad to think she'll be remembered for maybe one or two songs that were far from her best work. Exile in Guyville is still in my top 5 albums ever.

Natalie Imbruglia - Torn. That's what's going on.

I hated how the headlines said "Trump ends tape controversy." I'm not sure how sending another unhinged and possibly completely false tweet undoes your first unhinged and possibly completely false tweet.

I hear Lordy just released a new album! It's supposed to be pretty good.

I feel like it's just a given for most people that Steve Jobs is some hero we should try to emulate, but I really don't admire him at all and I'm not sure that the world is a better place because of the iPhone

I love them as well - I thought the youtube channel felt totally in character for them

He probably reacts to Muslims the same way Jacob reacts to women. He probably also reacts to women the same way Jacob reacts to women.

Turns out it was actually not too far from the real one either…

I love Maria Bamford's bit where she mocks the "classic female standup routine."

I can't explain exactly what's so beautiful about the peaks and valleys of that melody, but it gives me chills every time.

I haven't been able to listen to it since the election. I spent the whole day with "Homerun" stuck in my head chanting to myself "Left is right, right is suicide", expecting us to get that homerun…

I was so hoping for a great comeback from Michelle Branch after Vanessa Carlton's surprisingly strong and thoughtful Liberman in 2015, but I just did not enjoy the new songs I heard. It probably doesn't help that I'm not a fan of the Black Keys, whose influence is undeniable here.

It didn't get great reviews, but I'm actually enjoying Sufjan Stevens, Nico Muhly, and Bryce Dessner's Planetarium. "Mercury" in particular is just a gorgeous vocal take from Stevens with some equally pretty guitar work that subtly highlights the strengths of all 3 of its creators.

They remind me of the SNL Totino's ad where all the Hungry Guys turn around and have dead, black eyes. AKA something I definitely want staring at me on my desk.

I just made a similar broiled salmon dish but did not do an overnight marinade - I'll have to try this approach!
