Not all of TweetDeck is going the way of the dodo: only the iPhone, Android and Adobe AIR apps were shuttered. The web version is still there, along with the native PC/Mac apps.

I don't think there is a need for a third button. The HTC One has Home and Back buttons. For the multitasking menu, you tap twice on the Home button. If the app still makes use of the "Menu" button, a small black bar appears on the bottom with that button.
