@olliebean: No no no, these changes are not just cosmetic! It's all about usability, actually: tabs on top make the UI more consistent and thus easier to use. Also it's a better choice for application tabs, as you can see in the video.
@achalddave: You can do that with extensions, such as Pin Tabs ( [www.ghacks.net] ) or App Tabs ( [addons.mozilla.org] ).
It's not that they want to be Chrome, it's just that tabs on top work better. Here, let Alex Faaborg from Mozilla explain to you all why tabs on top should be the default.
@tomsomething: I don't think it's silly. If you think about it, Office for WP7 is one of the selling points for WP7, so it wouldn't be interesting to bring it to another platform now.
