This question may be silly, but here it is. I want to buy an external drive to backup all my files (the most important ones are already in Dropbox). I heard/read someone saying external USB drives are trouble due to low transfer rates, and that I should get a drive with Ethernet connectivity. Is it true?

I want a script to hide these links on the top bar. This is redundant and Google will probably take it away, but I want it nao!

@dragonskin: They'll probably do away with the top bar eventually. I guess it's still there not to break with user experience: I mean, the people who use the top bar would be pissed if it just disappeared all of a sudden.

@bloknayrb: Windows 7 does wonders with battery life. Same thing happened to my poor Compaq: now I get 10-20min more battery life than when I first bought it.
