They should have just named him Expendable.

It's weird: I was anti Richonne, but when it happened I was grinning ear to ear. I think the light-hearted Duke brothers action beforehand contributed.
I'm really not into the idea. I think her being a mommy figure for the kids without having a romance with Rick is more interesting.
Plus, the "everything works out for everyone" is misleading. Not for the people who ate it or KOOOOOOORL.
While they played her voice over for dramatic effect, I think seeing the zombie kid is what really did it. He might have lost it at that point even if she hadn't said that to him.
For my 4 year old it would be lightsabers and Avengers weapons. But, no, he would be a goner.
I don't think they forgot about it, as much as they conveniently ignored it for the sake of building up tension in this episode. They didn't want to just start the episode off with zombies chomping on the kid without a build up.
I don't disagree with you whatsoever. I just don't blame the kid for acting like a kid. The adults should have done a better job of adulting. They stood around trying to reason with him until there were suddenly zombies chomping on him. The way it happened was a rather annoying convenience since his freak out wasn't…
I share your unpopular opinion. Sam was so sheltered. It wasn't really his fault that he hadn't been prepared for the realities of how the world is now. I look at him and see my own little boy, who would be scared out of his mind and probably instantly eaten. Jessie wasn't so bad. Fuck Ron tho.
