This is great!

I used to drive home on a twisty country road, and I got so used to it, I could drive in my “sleep.” This included navigating several hairpin turns over steep ravines. I was awakened once to the sound of deer hooves clicking on the pavement as I passed through the herd without hitting any of them, despite clearing one

You have to imagine the world before 1984, the start of Apple Macintosh with their super bowl commercial. Wait, that might be before your time. Go watch youtube. Anyway, back then, there were no cell phones and no pagers either.

My dad - who was my hero - had a huge appreciation for anything mechanical and to him, a mechanical watch was the ultimate marvel of mechanical function. And he passed that appreciation on to me.

Wait until you get to the exterior trim clips.

I never really used to wear a watch, but earlier this year I bought a decent one and started wearing it. It’s nice to be able to see the time and not have to pull out my phone, and it looks good. Other than that fancy watches are really neat the more you look into the fine details. IDK to each their own

It looks nice and tells you the time.  Goes with a lot of clothing, makes you look a little more professional.  Kinda like a tie: it does nothing, but you look good wearing one.

Engines from that era were engineered for oils with additives that modern oils have eliminated. You absolutely should not use the oil in this article, or any other standard modern oil for gasoline engines.

Great point. I posted about this at length up thread (so I won’t drag this on), but Amazon is HUGE in the B2B market as well as the B2C market, to the point that companies in the B2B market have to do business with Amazon despite their high fees and unfavorable terms of service because they otherwise are leaving too

Where do you think the local quick oil change and repair shops get their oil? seriously?

Amazon isn’t going for gearheads, its going for your local quick oil change and repair shops...

Label says “Warren Distribution”. A quick search says it is the same folks behind WalMart Super Tech.

Any word on where they are actually getting the oil from? Like is it just the same refineries as one of the big oil companies (I mean Valvoline and Penzoil, not the evil entity BIG OIL) but Amazon beats them with supply chain?

Dude I’ve seen people shooting fireworks at strangers while their friends film it an post it to Instagram. It may not be the only reason, but it’s a major contributing cause as to why people are doing stupid shit more and more, even if they’re normally rational people. It’s been agreed upon by social behaviour experts

Escalation of extremist humour, deprecation of social inhibitions, and a recent history of people escaping without consequence or guilt. Likely brought on by normalization via recurrent media broadcasting.

In other words, stupid people see shit on TV and Youtube and think “I can do you one better and get away with it.”

I have worked in the auto industry for almost 20 years now, and this is all pretty true. I work in governmental affairs now, ensuring that the cars we make meet environmental standards. I love reading the articles and comments on here about what enthusiats think should be done and why X or Y company is stupid for
