… but which of the two (or more?) microfiche-related Simpsons quotes to use???

but then what would the show be called? "Gore My Ox?"

Ugh, you have those damn badges…

I don't care who's consolidating their power.

I am now at the stage of my life where I have accumulated several neckties, and often wish I had a motorized tie rack to display them all :(

I felt the show's political satire was better when it was nonpartisan and omnidirectional. Not unlike the omnidirectional sludge-pump of television. Simpsons, to me, was about distrust of authority and institutional power in general, not in terms of specific politicians or parties.

Upvoted for including "well" in a reply to a comment about Ronald Reagan.

"This Simpsons episode sucks."
"No it doesn't, it's funny! Their politics are different from my politics!"

Upvoted for correct pluralization, as well as astute Simpsons quoting.

But none of the wit and sparkle of Murphy Brown.

"You're not real, man!" is the best. Just sounds so authentic old-hippie.

I don't know anything about pinball (certainly not enough to know pinball jargon like this guy) but the art seems interesting. Can anyone recommend a book of pinball art? Especially from the 80s

There's nothing wrong with commenting on a review days, or even weeks, later.

Too bad they were never in a caper movie together.

Upvoted for "Phony Tornado Alarms Reduce Readiness."

Those games are on screen for like a fraction of a second but they're all brilliant. "Canasta Master."

For somebody who has their own country you wouldn't think price would be an issue.

I love the utter absurd mundanity of "he used to tune our piano, before we got rid of it." Reminds me of my mom who had like this mental rolodex of all the people she had met in her entire life.

Oakley and Weinstein seem pretty obsessive in the commentary tracks about how they always wanted the -exact- right names for people and places. cf "Mechanicsburg"

Initially they only had original programming in primetime, and then only on certain nights of the week. But this was before the internet, so people didn't have anything better to do. They couldn't attempt sexual relations because years of TV radiation had left their genitals withered and useless.
