I wish it was coming to the US. We need more AWD pocket rockets around here. Living in the north end of the country means that just about all RWD performance cars are impractical (though not impossible) with the weather.

Isn’t a 60 days supply considered ideal in the current dealer model? Kinda sounds like Ford is figuring out that “just in time” inventory (i.e. scarcity) is more profitable than having half a years of inventory. i.e. sounds like they’ve figured out what most other car companies have known for a while.

Good! This is how it should have always been.  Now make it so we can order certain things WITHOUT having to get other things that we do not want. 

Same with Honda.  The CRV Hybrid is $1,000 more and an absolute no brainer.  20% more gas mileage, better resale, and for a 3% increase in cost?  

Same with the Escape. You can get a hybrid, but not with AWD. Meanwhile, Honda and Toyota offer ONLY AWD on the hybrid CR-V and Rav4. Also, the Rav4 hybrid is only like $800 more than the equivalent non-hybrid Rav4.

I’m just hoping the hybrid doesn’t become Ford’s version of the $35k Model 3, where it technically exists but you have to call some random guy, whisper a secret passcode, and summon Cthulu using Middle English to actually get hold of one. 

I want the hybrid but AWD. Ford seems to be making several mistakes here and the car’s not even out yet.

You’re not wrong, but damn this is sad. This should be a $1200 car, max, and really more like $1k. As many as 3 years ago that would have been the case. But in today’s market? They’ll probably get full price.

I really don’t see what the big deal is with this crash. 1 car trying to take the position, the other trying to protect it, neither yielding. This I’ve seen countless times. Welcome to high stakes racing.
