Wait you thought the Bastion/Arcane medley was QUESTIONABLE?
KAY - That was hands down the best performance of the show imo. No question. To get to hear the Supergiant stuff live and buffed up was a dream all on its own.

I blew through it in about 45 minutes, this is making a mountain out of a mole hill, as per usual Kotaku has to complain about something beyond trivial.
It’s 45 minutes to an hour, maybe.
He’s also wrong about this, full stop. I initialized the download from the Game Pass app on my phone.
So what gave you so much trouble that it took you two hours to get through the first two missions?
I liked the opening. Things I agree on: It was long, a bit longer than I expected. Things I disagree on: Enemy being from Halo Wars 2 is a troll move - not at all, it’s a great game, and Banished are much better enemies than the Covenant. Covenant died to make Banished possible, and Banished are much more engaging,…
John’s back to ripping out confidently bad takes, nature is healing.
Why are unlocks so important to your enjoyment of the game? Why does everything “feel like a damn slog” when you’re only talking about the rate of unlocking minor customization elements?
It needs more than a little tweaking frankly. Needs better pickup of contribution to the team, especially on objective modes, and also not hiding almost all cosmetics behind a paywall.
Two thoughts:
While I’m definitely not stanning for Star Citizen, Elite: Dangerous was a deeply boring experience to me. Great flight model, nothing to actually play.
The moment they do that the waveform collapses, the game will actually be judged on its merits
It Is 2021. Star Citizen Has Raised $400,000,000, And Is Still Not Out.
Eh, if it stays long enough, they’ll start calling it that. No one calls the Dolby Theater the “Kodak Theater” anymore. Nor the Honda Center “The Pond”. Microsoft Theater used to be The Nokia (and The Novo used to be Club Nokia). The Fonda used to be The Music Box. Ownerships change, names change, people eventually…
Narrative-focused stuff is definitely Microsoft’s weakness at this point*, but I feel like Sony’s so over-focused on that very specific band of ‘third person narrative-focused action game’ I kinda don’t mind that Microsoft’s basically aiming for ‘okay, let’s do everything but that’.
Hell ya! I’ve been a Forza fan since the original on OG Xbox and this makes me so happy to hear. I’m surprised by the number of “I don’t play racing games but I love Forza Horizon” comments.
Yeah, you gotta do a decent amount of tweaking the settings (alot can be done through Windows, if you’re running PC). Even then it can still be quite difficult, although I also imagine driving a supercar over a dirt road at 150 mph isn’t easy at the best of times.
“When you’re not driving fast cars on long roads through eye-popping vistas, you’re amassing a collection of obscenely expensive wealthmobiles for no other purpose, I suppose, than staring at them. And having others stare at them, too.”
This will be my first Forza game thanks to Game Pass and I’m getting a bit hyped to try it out for the visuals alone. It really looks beautiful and truly “Next-Gen” imo.
