1. Hobby Lobby only asked to ban four forms, but the Supreme Court ruled that corporations can refuse to provide any forms.

Hahaha. Awww. Sadly, I too, am promised to another (it's the devil, though, so I'm not sure if that's legally binding)...and marriage is but a ceremonial toy, after all. #esoteric1amfaustusjokesarethebestjokes.

And serves the students so poorly. I know so many people who proudly avoided taking subjects they hated, or thought they would hate— I never would've discovered what I do now if I hadn't taken classes in things I didn't already know I liked. Not to mention that, unquestionably, the things I learned in literature

I know. I'm glad your bf punched that guy in the face, even though it should never have had to happen. It's so absurd—I can't imagine what goes through their minds that they think it's okay to just GRAB another person!

Uhh...when Mozart was alive, there was no male Jack the Ripper either. Aside from which, as someone who studies this sort of thing with actual science, there is no link between sadism, psychopathy, or violence and creativity. Virginia Woolf's ideas about female geniuses in the past hold much more water (Shakespeare

Some teenager pulled up alongside me and a group of my friends, all women, as we were walking into town our first year of college. He rolled down his window and yelled, "Hey ladies, come out with me? I'm the hottest guy you'll ever meet—" at which point he noticed how amusing we found this and somewhat sheepishly

That he grabbed your arm is SO gross and violating. Not that the whole thing wasn't, but ugh. I don't usually condone violence, but I've hurt a guy for grabbing my arm and refusing to let go (in the fucking STREET, in broad daylight, in Paris. I broke his hold, which I guess hurt him, told him I'd call the cops if he

Yep. My response to both of these things was, "You're lucky enough to be at an amazing institution, with access to courses taught by amazing professors and libraries full of books. Why would you willingly cut yourself off from experiencing vast parts of it? If it's out of your comfort zone and you're afraid of GPA

Crowning moment of my Midwestern-girl Target glory was when I was at a fancy thing for a fellowship I'd won, and one of the other fellows, a girl from Harvard who was very into designer everything, asked me excitedly where my dress was from. Target, six years ago, that's where. $16.99. I love that dress.

I'm going to bring a suit because my company's religion says that when men can't get it up, that means God wants them to stop having sex, and Viagra is a sin and violates my company's religious beliefs. Not MINE, those are different. But it's okay, because my company is a person.

...how is it an argument? It was a question that people are answering. Not all states have stop and identify, so people were confused about whether you're required to carry ID if you aren't driving a car.

No, that's not a thing. You aren't required to carry ID in the US unless you're operating a vehicle that requires a license or going somewhere that requires ID. You don't need a government-issued ID to walk the streets.

There's lots of things that go up in risk after age 35— but that's less about carrying the child than having older eggs which have had more exposure to various things and also just been around longer and so had more time to mutate or degrade. Risk of Down syndrome, for example, increases, and doctors generally want to

I believe you— though I'd think there's some who can manage to do it without being assholes. Although they wouldn't likely call it travel, it'd be more likely to be part of their job, so you're right. The ones who are visiting and calling it social justice are probably the worst.

Is this true? Sure, some millennials who go abroad say painfully dumb things like this— but we are also the most educated generation ever, which means that we're far more likely to have taken an anthro class at some point and hopefully had that nonsense drilled out of us. I also find generally more social justice type

That graph is based on data from Wellesley students. Wellesley is a women's college. What point about women preferring dumber men were you trying to make, again?

I'm 23. My family has owned dogs—big dogs, a lot of them rescues— my entire life. I have NEVER been bitten by a dog. I've been bitten by cats, but never ever a dog. We've had German shepherds, collies, labs, and mixes including Doberman and one dog I'm pretty sure was part coyote. None of them has ever bitten me.

When they ask me if I know where I'm going after death, I respond cheerfully "Hell. I signed a contract and everything." That tends to stop the conversation. Once a guy proselytizing asked me if I didn't want life to be more than just a game, to which I responded "Better a game than a test."

...to what? I don't agree with the delusion in which you live.

If you understood sarcasm, you'd see we absolutely aren't.
