“is being held at Dauphin County Prison without bail after a district judge ruled there are no conditions Davis can meet to be released at this time”
Good. A guy like this would absolutely be a danger to her if released.
Exactly, why can’t they frame this as a conspiracy against her in order to get the whole disgusting group? They were clearly helping him to figure out how to do this, not just “advised him” to contact county officials.
Any other troopers who were present and failed to stop Davis from assaulting and kidnapping his ex should be brought up on charges as well.
I always wonder if this kind of thing is just two famous performers getting together to multiply their famousness and do some cross-marketing of their respective business lines. The Chiefs and the NFL will be loving this for bringing their business to the attention of the legions of Swift fans, and who knows, maybe TS…
Just googled it. It looks like only the strangulation charge was dropped - the other four were not.
101%! It’s yet worse in Florida. Imagine, if you will, being a land surveyor, working in the field in Florida all fucking summer long! Finally, when you’ve almost given up hope, along comes October; oh so, so very happy.
Yeah I don’t know why the article morphed into “the political roots of Thanksgiving” or whatever.
And my favorite leftovers. A turkey and dressing sandwich makes me so happy.
Thanksgiving dinner is my favorite meal of the year, hands-down.
Historically, if you look at pagan calendars and harvest festivals/feasts, you are absolutely accurate.
I hated living in South Carolina for one year because it was so hot there was no fall, no color changes to the leaves, no leaves falling anywhere. I felt like time wasn’t passing at all, and it was so hot my brain would melt out my ears. I kept the air conditioning in my apartment set to 80 degrees and it started…
Agreed. My wife is Indian, absolutely crazy about fall (and Gilmore Girls for that matter). I got Chinese takeout the other day, and the guy at the counter was telling me how much he loves fall and how the fall here is just like the fall where he’s from in China. I went to the pumpkin patch last week, people of all…
I grew up in New Hampshire and Vermont and fall is an important season; culturally and economically. People from all over the world flock to small towns to go leaf peeping, bringing much needed revenue before the winter off season. Communities will celebrate with fall festivals with music, art and fairs. It was the…
I love fall because I’m kind of fat and always hot. I’m in the Midwest and made it all through last year without more than a hoodie.
Not to mention the fact that fall is a traditionally a time of plenty and moderate temperatures. But, of course, that’s omitted from this “analysis” in favor of a tenuous - at best - tie in with “basic white girl” culture.
It’s also fleeting, which makes it feel more precious. Where I live winter lasts 4 months. If it only lasted a month, one month of cold and snow and ice, people would go ga ga for it.
The families that go to pumpkin patches (at least here in the northwest, where everyone is supposedly white) are quite diverse. Plenty of first and second generation immigrant families from Central America, Asia, and Africa. So Thanksgiving may be sold predominantly to white folks, but fall seems beloved by everyone.
I love fall. I grew up in Miami, Florida, where the two seasons were “really fucking hot” and “just hot,” and then moved to Virginia as an adult. My first few falls were really awesome. Totally new experience from where I came from - that crisp air, the apple cider donuts, the coziness...if this makes me an annoying…
I read a comment yesterday about how millennials have to label everything. I don’t even like labelling millennials as such, lol. Nobody likes to be boxed in with a label on top.
