since they just made it longer to accommodate the 3rd row, why not just stretch it a little more so that the 3rd row can actual fit an adult with functioning arms and legs?

Came here to say the same thing.  Either that or he is a backup to play Ben Franklin. 

It is just a shame. Clearly Musk is a pretty smart dude. If only he put all his money and energy into something useful, think of the problems the dude can solve? But nope.  Instead of building on his legacy for being the pioneer of EVs, he is running his mouth and smacking people around with his money.
