She is lucky she is white and the car didn’t flip over and have bullet holes.

First - I really hope they do something because the ones stands to benefit the most would be those in the lower income brackets that wants to make the transition to EV but either get handed the risk via the used market or avoid the risk altogether by staying with ICE cars.
Maybe we will see a Microraptor in the future.
Here in CA, I know for a fact some folks buy new cars in cash, drive it for a few months, and sell. Some are even big enough they have enough cars turning over to have their own used car lot and claim tax write off. One of many ways to “wash” illegitimate cash that you generate from a, let’s say, non-narco…
Talk about a sinking boat situation. Long Beach don’t have $300M sitting anywhere. If they did, I can think of several projects worthy of improvements ahead of the QM. It is not a first tier tourist attraction and if you don’t have that, how do you justify the cost?
Neutral - Oahu and Maui in 89 days. Not that we are counting or anything...
I have never been and I shared the same disbelief when I got out of the car. I can see myself bringing a chair next time and just sit and stare.
Certain trails still had a lot of people, esp on weekends. On the day we left, reservation enforcement kicked in and the line of cars coming in the gate can expect to wait about an hour on weekends. At 9am the morning we left, the line was about half a mile long.
Neutral: Doing surprising well, just came back from a week in Yosemite. It was a much needed “timeout” for me and the family. Been a long 15 months for us, from WFH to teaching the kiddos full time. My wife planned the entire trip and I am grateful and blessed she did.
As the saying goes, 16 gests you 20. But in his case, it was the death penalty.
Not sure what he does but he frequents the same bike shop I do. I believe he is a plumber by trade but went to work at the Long Beach port during COVID because they are short workers. Because of the shortage, companies are paying extra dock fees to get their boats in, maybe the workers got extra pay that way. Its one…
I know a 30 ish dock worker who cleared closed to $500K in 6 months work and getting ready to buy a ranch in Wyoming and more or less farm and retire.
Out here in the west coast, people are doing the same thing. 6 in the morning and the line at Costco was unusually long. People waiting in long lines just to put $10 in their tanks, which is only a little over 3 gal. As if we have not learned anything from TP, paper towels, and masks.
The red one I have seen belongs to a patient/donor. The parking spot is a reserved spot and I have only seen the lambo because in a sea of cars, it kind of stick out.
Neuro surgeon
I would hand them a fake check in the whole amount plus tax, go on the test drive, and walk away.
One of our physicians daily in this.
They were gunning for the number one dealer spot in the area. Shooting for the best...
Did my undergrad at UCSD - parking permit for the year was $650. Then I started working there after I graduated, my now wife and I split the cost, which was $100 a month. This to say I have paid my fair share of parking related fees.
For an extra $10 a month, someone will come to your house and splash real dirt on the car to give you more “cred”😀.
