Nothing, if you don’t care that there is a new improved platform literally right around the corner. I just think if you are going to spend the money, get the updated version and not the 2013 model labeled as a new 2019 because of cosmetic changes.

Not trying to knock you, but 50K for a SUV that rides on a 5 y.o. platform, no thanks.

Some of these moves, regardless of brand, sounds pretty desperate.

you can avoid the potlucks, but can you avoid every door handle?

When will Jalopnik be setup on WUPHF.com?

Is that adjusted for the mad rush to get the incentive before it ends?

Does this mean a hybrid Pilot is in the works?

1st: Unless you need one for work, don’t buy one. And most people who need a truck for work either have one provided by the company or they get the base trim without the bells and whistles.  The ones I see rolling around with your Platinum trim are usually the ones not putting anything meaningful in the bed.

If it is tax related, then shame on him for not have a trusted CPA to handle it.  Tuition remission is a taxable benefit and usually not taxed the same way as compensation, at least here in the US.

My kids and my wife have full rides to any universities within https://www.tuitionexchange.org/ as long as they test in. 4 years full ride for undergrad(tax free) or graduate degree(taxed as a benefit).

Thats not a fake exhaust, they plan to use that to release butterflies as it drives.

Things I have seen as part of compensation packages:

Here in CA, people are buying the plug-in SUV to get the carpool sticker and EV/PHEV rebate.

Does anyone know how Tesla’s weekly/daily adjustments in MSRP affect depreciation calculations? I guess you can compare it to reg manufacturer rebates and promotions, but just a curious question.

Very true.  That joystick config that they refuse to drop....

Hello Lexus RX.

My bad, speaking from my experience with the Sienna which leads to us selling the thing 3 years in after the last crash test came out.

That Toyota liability and brand gives them a pass to a lot of things.  Nissan don’t have that so they need to invest to keep up.  Just saw the new Altimas are coming out with their version of AWD, I am sure all the Camry owners in cold/snow climates can only wish Toyota will follow.

That Tundra platform is older than old. Direct result of Toyota’s business model of keeping the platform the same sometimes for 10 years and only update the exterior look of the vehicles and pass that on as new models.

The kids are on auto pilot at this point when it comes to road trips. When we had the Sienna, we would mount Kindles for them. But with the new Odyssey, between blue ray and the SSD drive I installed, we have roughly 500hrs of videos in the van reserved for longer legs of trips. Otherwise, they read and do activities
