Why not just buy a used iphone and use google voice?

I can be on a web page after typing in my password in 30 seconds with win& and a 3 year old dell 13" laptop. SSD equipt of course. big deal.

@jdawg183: Exactly. Mine's 23months and he knows 3 planets and the sun from pictures and the real world and has been pointing out the moon in all it's different phases for about 4 months. Blasphemer! I still have a JVC HRS8000U I bought in 1989 for $1200 and it is still an amazing piece of engineering.

I would prefer a higher rez 13.3 like the vaio X. 128GB SSD, dual core, discrete graphics, backlit keyboard and hdmi out. The rest I could care less.

@fastm3driver: Something else I just thought of. You could get a pay as you go phone that uses Sprint, Verizon and ATT. Just get one or two of those on the network you don't have. Yea, I get they could all be using the same cell tower that falls over but a second tower on the other network could be with-in reach.

@imajoebob: I would also suggest getting a second phone just as a back up for the extra $10 a month or have 2 people in your house on 2 different cell networks. Having a cell also provides emergency crews with your exact location if your not home. What if a tree falls down in a hurricane and takes out your house…

I haven't been there but I've been here. I highly suggest it.
